Head Coach

Head Coach Harry Scott sadly passed away on 20 April 2025. He dedicated over 40 years of voluntary service to the club he founded. His passion extended beyond amateur boxing—he was deeply committed to guiding people onto the right path and supporting his community. He had a profound impact on generations of boxers, instilling discipline, respect, and resilience. He was widely respected across the England Boxing community, coaching many athletes to county and national success.

Chairman

Our former Chairman, John McGrath, sadly passed away on 16 August 2022. He dedicated much of his free time to the club, working tirelessly to keep it running smoothly. He played a key role in organising home shows and ensuring everything was up to date and in order. His passing was a tragic loss, and he is fondly remembered for his commitment and service to the club.

Club Member

Jake Smith, known as “Smithy”, was an active club member between 2018 and 2020. He sadly passed away in 2023 at the age of 17. During his time at Walcot A.B.C, Jake made significant improvements in his boxing, discipline, and attitude. He was respectful, friendly, and brought a positive presence to the gym. He is remembered fondly by all who knew him.
